Christmas Fireplace - Firestove Cracking wood sound Full HD 50 fps

Christmas Fireplace MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015 !!!! - Firestove Cracking wood sound Full HD 50 fps - The celebratory customs associated in various countries with Christmas have a mix of pre-Christian, Christian, and secular themes and origins.[18] Popular modern customs of the holiday include gift giving, completing an Advent calendar or Advent wreath, Christmas music and caroling, an exchange of Christmas cards, church services, a special meal, and the display of various Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, Christmas

For your holiday pleasures I have produced an HD video that you can start playing and forget for 2 hours. All music is of the jazz and classical genres, all are instrumentals and I remastered/normalized the volume levels to keep it consistent throughout the video and prevent sudden increases and decreases in listening volume levels lights, nativity scenes, garlands, wreaths, mistletoe, and holly. In addition, several closely related and often interchangeable figures, known as Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, and Christkind, are associated with bringing gifts to children during the Christmas season and have their own body of traditions and lore.[19] Because gift-giving and many other aspects of the Christmas festival involve heightened economic activity, the holiday has become a significant event and a key sales period for retailers and businesses. The economic impact of Christmas is a factor that has grown steadily over the past few centuries in many regions of the world.

While the month and date of Jesus' birth are unknown, by the early-to-mid 4th century, the Western Christian Church had placed Christmas on December 25,[20] a date later adopted in the East,[21][22] although some churches celebrate on the December 25 of the older Julian calendar, which, in the Gregorian calendar, currently corresponds to January 7, the day after the Western Christian Church celebrates the Epiphany. The date of Christmas may have initially been chosen to correspond with the day exactly nine months after the day on which early Christians believed that Jesus was conceived,[23] or with one or more ancient polytheistic festivals that occurred near southern solstice (i.e., the Roman winter solstice);[24][25] a further solar connection has been suggested because of a biblical verse[a] identifying Jesus as the "Sun of righteousness".[23][26][27]

Earth Shaking - Tank Amazing Awesome Close March

Earth Shaking - Tank Amazing Close March - The T-72 Main Battle Tank (MBT) is thought to have entered production at State Factory Number 183 -- the Nizhni-Tagil Railroad Enterprise -- in 1972. Hints and rumors of its existence circulated until it was observed at close hand by the French Minister of Defense in 1977.

At first it was thought to be a variation of the T-64, but it is now known to have been a comprehensive redesign.

Tank Image Gallery

The T-72 is quite heavily armored. Protection ranges from 11 inches on the turret face to 8.8 inches of spaced, laminate armor on the hull nose, which is inclined so as to provide the equivalent of 21.5 inches of armor.

The T-72 is fitted with rectangular side armor plates that cover the vulnerable hydraulic shock absorbers at a 60º angle. When the plates are unclipped, they spring out to the 60º inclination. The tank also has a protective, full-length skirt.

A bulldozer blade is mounted on the T-72's nose and can be deployed to dig firing positions or clear debris. An infrared searchlight is mounted on the right side of the main gun, just the opposite of the T-64.

The T-72 Main Battle Tank carries a snorkel clipped to the left side of the turret. The T-72 uses the torsion bar suspension system, which is usual for Soviet MBTs.

Western intelligence sources consider it superior to the hydraulic-mechanical system used on the T-64. The T-72 has six road wheels per side that are quite a bit bigger than those used on the T-64. Three return rollers are used to guide the track on its return. Like the T-64, the T-72 is driven through the rear sprocket.

A 7.62mm PKT machine gun is mounted in the turret coaxially with the main gun and can be fired automatically. A 12.7mm DShKM machine gun is mounted ahead of the hatch on the commander's cupola, but it can be fired only with the hatch open and the commander standing halfway out. This makes him an obvious target for snipers.

The main gun is the same 125mm smoothbore Model 2A46 that is used on the T-64. It is fed from an automatic carousel loader mounted on the hull floor.

Ammunition capacity is 39 rounds. The T-72 fires armor-piercing, fin-stabilized, discarding sabot (APFSDS) rounds at a velocity of 5,298 feet per second, which can penetrate nearly 12 inches of armor at 1,100 yards; high-explosive, antitank, fin-stabilized (HEAT-FS) at 2,952 feet per second, which can penetrate nearly 19 inches of armor at 1,100 yards; and high-explosive, fragmentation rounds (HE-FRAG) at 2,788 feet per second.

The usual mix, based on captured Syrian T-72s, is thought to be 12 APFSDS, 21 HE-FRAG, and six HEAT-FS per carousel. The ammunition in the carousel is contained on two levels, powder charge below, projectile above.

As with the T-64, the main gun is stabilized, allowing the T-72 to shoot while moving on the road or cross-country.

The T-72 has full nuclear-biological-chemical protection. The interior of the tank is also lined with a lead-impregnated material for projection against radiation and neutron pulses.

During the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, the Israeli Army, using the Merkava's 105mm main gun and TOW antitank missiles, was able to destroy a large number of T-72s operated by Syrian armored forces.

After that, the Soviets conducted an extensive upgrade program in order to improve the tank's armor and survivability. Appliqué armor, fender skirts, and reaction armor boxes were all added.

The U.S. Department of Defense estimates that more than 17,000 T-72 tanks were built at four tank production facilities in the Soviet Union. Several variations of the T-72 are known, but the changes are minor. The only exception is the T-72 M1981/3, which is called the T-80 in the West.

The T-72 has been distributed to 15 nations in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It was manufactured in Czechoslovakia, India, Poland, and Yugoslavia. The T-72 was the numerical mainstay of Soviet MBT forces in Eastern Europe before the fall of the Soviet Union.

Russian Mig 29 Pilot Says Hello and Goodbye in wings swing-bye

Russian Mig 29 Pilot Says Hello and Goodbye in wings swing-bye - I don’t think I would ever want to be part of such a tradition, but it does look amazing when you watch it from the safety of your living room. It is called a “wing wave” and it turns out that it is somewhat of a routine…

Features

The MiG-29M/M2 aircraft is a revision of the basic MiG-29. It achieved a more robust multi-role capability with enhanced use of air-to-air and air-to-ground high-precision weapons.[3] It also featured considerably increased combat range owing to an increase in its internal fuel capacity.[3]

Airframe evolutions

A few changes took place during the aircraft's development. The redesigned airframe was constructed from a lightweight aluminum-lithium alloy to increase thrust-to-weight ratio. Air intakes' geometry was revised, the upper intake louvers removed to make way for more fuel in the LERXs, mesh screens introduced to prevent foreign object damage (FOD) and enlarged inlet dimensions for higher airflow.[citation needed]

Powerplant

Main article: Klimov RD-33

The RD-33MK, the latest revision of the RD-33, has 7% more power in comparison to the baseline model due to the usage of modern materials on the cooled blades, it provide a thrust of 9,000 kgf. In response to long time criticism, the new engines are smokeless and contain improvements that reduce its infrared visibility. Thrust vectoring nozzles are now offered upon customer’s request.[4][5] Dry weight is 1,145 kilograms (2,520 lb) compared to the baseline model through modern materials used on the cooled blades, although it retains the same length and maximum diameter. Incorporated is an infrared and optical signature visibility reduction systems. Service life has been increased to 4,000 hours.[6][7]

Range and fuel system

The aircraft is built with an in-flight-refueling (IFR) probe and is able to carry three fuel drop tanks. The redesigned airframe also significantly increased internal fuel capacity in the dorsal spine and LERXs fuel tanks.[citation needed] These give the aircraft of single seat an operation range of 2,000 km with internal fuel, 3,200 km with three fuel drop tanks, and 6,000 km with three drop tanks and in-flight-refueling.[3]

Cockpit of a MiG-29M at MAKS airshow, 1997

Cockpit

The cockpit has been redesigned to incorporate contemporary features. While some analogue instruments have been retained, two monochrome liquid crystal (LCD) multi-function displays (MFD) have been introduced and new weapon controls have been incorporated in a HOTAS concept. Other new features include the Zhuk-ME radar, an infra-red search and track (IRST) system and a helmet-mounted target designation system (early head-mounted display).[citation needed]

Sensors

Main upgrades consists the Zhuk-ME pulse-Doppler airbone radar, along with revised IRST systems,[3] helmet-mounted target designation system and electronic countermeasures. New radar capable of detecting air targets at ranges up to 120 km, track-while-scan of ten targets and attack of four targets at a time.[citation needed]

Russian Supersonic Fulcrum Mig 29 Eagle of Space Sound-1

Russian Supersonic Fulcrum Mig 29 Eagle of Space Sound-1 - During the Cold War, the MiG-29 Fulcrum was the spearhead of the Soviet Air Force - and was feared in the west for its excellent maneuverability both at sub and supersonic speeds. Now you can fly one of these modern fighter jets: We offer you the possibility of a flight on a MiG-29UB in Russia. For civil fighter jet fans there is currently only one place where MiG-29 flights can be legally experienced: The SOKOL airfield near the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod. The city is part of the Russian military-industrial complex - only recently has this place opened for visitors without special authorization.

Flying a MiG: Raw Power and Extreme Altitude

Under supervision of experienced test pilots, you're exposed to the G force of the MiG-29's two mighty turbines - up to 9 G of force is exerted on your body. Have your body be pressed into the seat as you fly maneuvers with the pilot like rolls, loops, Immelman-turns and tail slides. But these maneuvers, inspired by real combat operations, are just the beginning. After some time, the big highlight: the pilot hands over the controls for you to fly the MiG-29 all on your own! A totally different, literal peak: the flight to the "Edge of Space". With a MiG-29 you can reach closer to space then ever before. The fighter jet catapults you up to 22 km above see level (17km is guaranteed) - at this height, the earths curvature is visible and you can catch more than just a glimpse of the vastness of space.

Russian Pilot Launching Air Brakes in mid air - MIG 29 Fulcrum

Russian Pilot Launching Air Brakes in mid air - MIG 29 - Supermaneuverability is the ability of aircraft to have control and do maneuvers in situations and in the ways exceeding that which is possible by pure aerodynamic mechanisms.[citation needed] This ability was first introduced in the Russian Sukhoi Su-27 and Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter aircraft in the 1980s, which has since become a standard in their advanced 4th and 5th generation aircrafts. There has been some conjectures, but the mechanism behind the supermaneuverability of the Russian aircrafts is still unknown. However, post-stall analyses are increasingly used in recent years to advance maneuverability via the use of thrust vectoring engine nozzles.[1] As the result of such studies, United States produced the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, which is the first non-Russian supermaneuverable aircraft.

Russian emphasis on close-range slow-speed supermaneuverability runs counter to Western Energy–maneuvrability theory, which favors retaining kinetic energy to control the range of the engagement.[2]

Traditional aircraft maneuvering is accomplished by altering the flow of air passing over the control surfaces of the aircraft—the ailerons, elevators, flaps, air brakes and rudder. Some of these control surfaces can be combined—such as in the "ruddervators" of a V-tail configuration—but the basic properties are unaffected. When a control surface is moved to present an angle to the oncoming airflow, it alters the airflow around the surface, changing its pressure distribution, and thus applying a pitching, rolling, or yawing moment to the aircraft. The angle of control surface deflection and resulting directional force on the aircraft are controlled both by the pilot and the aircraft's inbuilt control systems to maintain the desired attitude, such as pitch, roll and heading, and also to perform aerobatic maneuvers that rapidly change the aircraft's attitude. For traditional manoeuvring control to be maintained, the aircraft must maintain sufficient forward velocity and a sufficiently low angle of attack to provide airflow over the wings (maintaining lift) and also over its control surfaces. As airflow decreases so does effectiveness of the control surfaces and thus the maneuverability. On the other hand, if the angle of attack exceeds its critical value, the airplane will stall. Pilots are trained to avoid stalls during aerobatic maneuvering and especially in combat, as a stall can permit an opponent to gain an advantageous position while the stalled aircraft's pilot attempts to recover.

Russian Mig 29 Afterburner BRUTAL SOUND

Russian Mig 29 Afterburner BRUTAL SOUND - An afterburner (or a reheat) is an additional component present on some jet engines, mostly military supersonic aircraft. Its purpose is to provide an increase in thrust, usually for supersonic flight, takeoff and for combat situations. Afterburning is achieved by injecting additional fuel into the jet pipe downstream of (i.e. after) the turbine. The advantage of afterburning is significantly increased thrust; the disadvantage is its very high fuel consumption and inefficiency, though this is often regarded as acceptable for the short periods during which it is usually used.

Pilots can activate and deactivate afterburners in-flight, and jet engines are referred to as operating wet when afterburning is being used and dry when not.[1] An engine producing maximum thrust wet is at maximum power, while an engine producing maximum thrust dry is at military power.

Russian Pilot Skills - Mig 29 Thrust Vectoring Hovering

Russian Pilot Skills - Mig 29 Vectored Thrust Hovering - Thrust vectoring, also thrust vector control or TVC, is the ability of an aircraft, rocket, or other vehicle to manipulate the direction of the thrust from its engine(s) or motor in order to control the attitude or angular velocity of the vehicle.

In rocketry and ballistic missiles that fly outside the atmosphere, aerodynamic control surfaces are ineffective, so thrust vectoring is the primary means of attitude control.

For aircraft, the method was originally envisaged to provide upward vertical thrust as a means to give aircraft vertical (VTOL) or short (STOL) takeoff and landing ability. Subsequently, it was realized that using vectored thrust in combat situations enabled aircraft to perform various maneuvers not available to conventional-engined planes. To perform turns, aircraft that use no thrust vectoring must rely on aerodynamic control surfaces only, such as ailerons or elevator; craft with vectoring must still use control surfaces, but to a lesser extent.

In missile literature originating from Russian sources,[1] thrust vectoring is often referred as "gas-dynamic steering" or "gas-dynamic control".

Most currently operational vectored thrust aircraft use turbofans with rotating nozzles or vanes to deflect the exhaust stream. This method can successfully deflect thrust through as much as 90 degrees, relative to the aircraft centerline. However, the engine must be sized for vertical lift, rather than normal flight, which results in a weight penalty. Afterburning (or Plenum Chamber Burning, PCB, in the bypass stream) is difficult to incorporate and is impractical for take-off and landing thrust vectoring, because the very hot exhaust can damage runway surfaces. Without afterburning it is hard to reach supersonic flight speeds. A PCB engine, the Bristol Siddeley BS100, was cancelled in 1965.

Tiltrotor aircraft vector thrust via rotating turboprop engine nacelles. The mechanical complexities of this design are quite troublesome, including twisting flexible internal components and driveshaft power transfer between engines. Most current tiltrotor designs feature 2 rotors in a side-by-side configuration. If such a craft is flown in a way where it enters a vortex ring state, one of the rotors will always enter slightly before the other, causing the aircraft to perform a drastic and unplanned roll.

The pre-World War 1, British Army airship Delta, fitted with swiveling propellers

Thrust vectoring is also used as a control mechanism for airships. An early application was the British Army airship Delta, which first flew in 1912.[6] It was later used on HMA (His Majesty's Airship) No. 9r, a British rigid airship that first flew in 1916[7] and the twin 1930s-era U.S. Navy rigid airships USS Akron and USS Macon that were used as airborne aircraft carriers, and a similar form of thrust vectoring is also particularly valuable today for the control of modern non-rigid airships. In this use, most of the load is usually supported by buoyancy and vectored thrust is used to control the motion of the aircraft. But, designs have recently been proposed, especially for Project WALRUS, where a significant portion of the weight of the craft is supported by vectored thrust. The first airship that used a control system based on pressurized air was Enrico Forlanini's Omnia Dir in 1930s.

Brutal Madness Sound Mig 29 Russian Air Breaker

Brutal Madness Sound Mig 29 Russian Air Breaker - The Klimov RD-33 is a turbofan engine for a lightweight fighter jet that is the primary engine for the Mikoyan MiG-29. It was developed in OKB-117 led by S. P. Izotov (now OAO Klimov) from 1968 with production starting in 1981. Previous generations of Russian supersonic fighters such as the MiG-21 and MiG-27 used turbojets, but western fighters such as the F-111 and F-4K introduced the use of afterburning turbofans in the 1960s which were more efficient. The RD-33 was the first afterburnering turbofan engine produced by the Klimov company of Russia in the 8,000 to 9,000 kilograms-force (78,000 to 88,000 N; 18,000 to 20,000 lbf) thrust class. It features a modular twin-shaft design with individual parts that can be replaced separately and has a good tolerance to the environment. The RD-33 is simple to maintain and retains good performance in challenging environments.[1]

Russian Knights - Mig 29 - TOP GUN pilots

Russian Knights - Mig 29 - TOP GUN pilots - The Russian Knights (Russian: Русские Витязи, Russkiye Vityazi) is an aerobatic demonstration team of the Russian Air Force. Originally formed on April 5, 1991 at the Kubinka Air Base as a team of six Sukhoi Su-27s, the team was the first to perform outside the Soviet Union in September 1991 when they toured the United Kingdom. On December 12, 1995, disaster struck as three team jets flew in-formation into a mountainside near Cam Ranh, Vietnam during approach while en route to home from a Malaysian airshow during adverse weather conditions. The team now performs with four Su-27Ps and two Su-27UBs.

On August 16, 2009, two Su-27s rehearsing acrobatic maneuvers collided near Moscow, killing one pilot and sending the jets crashing into nearby vacation homes. The dead pilot was identified as the Russian Knights' commander, Guards Colonel Igor Tkachenko, a decorated air force officer.[2]

Russian FSB SPETSNAZ Tactical Shooting Action - VV MVD

Russian FSB SPETSNAZ Tactical Shooting Action - VV MVD The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) (Russian: Федеральная служба безопасности Российской Федерации (ФСБ); Federal'naya sluzhba bezopasnosti Rossiyskoy Federatsii) is the principal security agency of the Russian Federation and the main successor agency to the USSR's Committee of State Security (KGB). Its main responsibilities are within the country and include counter-intelligence, internal and border security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance as well as investigating ukraine crimea europe nato some other types of grave crimes. It is headquartered in Lubyanka Square, Moscow's centre, in the main building of the former KGB. The Director of the FSB since 2008 is army general Aleksandr Bortnikov.

The immediate predecessor of the FSB was the Federal Counterintelligence Service (FSK) of Russia: on 12 April 1995, Russian president Boris Yeltsin signed a law mandating a reorganization of the FSK, which resulted in the creation of the FSB. In 2003, the FSB's responsibilities were widened by incorporating the previously independent Border Guard Service and a major part of the abolished Federal Agency of Government Communication and Information (FAPSI). The two major structural components of the former KGB that remain administratively independent of the FSB are the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and the State Guards (FSO).

Under the federal law, the FSB is a military service just like the Armed Forces, the MVD, the FSO, the SVR, the FSKN and EMERCOM's civil defence, but its commissioned officers do not normally wear military uniform.

Spetsnaz (Russian: Войска специального назначения, (спецназ, pronounced [spʲɪtsˈnaz]) tr: Voyska spetsialnogo naznacheniya; pronounced [vɐjsˈka spʲɪtsɨˈalʲnəvə nəznɐˈtɕenʲɪjə]) is an umbrella term for any special forces in Russian, literally "special purpose forces". Historically, the term referred to the military special units controlled by the military intelligence service GRU, the Spetsnaz GRU. Currently, the term is also used to describe any special purpose units or task forces of other ministries (even the Ministry of Emergency Situations special rescue unit),[1] also in some other post-Soviet countries. The following article is discussing only Soviet and Russian spetsnaz formations.

Vityaz (Russian: Витязь, "Knight") was one of the Soviet and Russian special forces units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) within the Independent Operative Purpose Division (ODON) of the Internal Troops (VV). Its full name is 1st Special Purpose Unit of the Internal Forces "Vityaz" (1-й отряд специального назначения внутренних войск «Витязь».) It was assigned specifically to counter-terrorism duties, but was trained to deal with civil unrest, prison rebellions and mutinies of regular army units.

The name Vityaz is also used by a private security firm, using the unit's name and logo,[1] and a private security training center,[2] headed by the unit's former commander, Sergei Lysyuk.[3]

Russian special forces SPETSNAZ survival tactical training

Russian special forces SPETSNAZ sourvival training - GRU Spetsnaz are the elite military formations under the control of the military intelligence service GRU. It was the first Soviet/Russian spetsnaz (special forces) force, more than two decades older than its KGB/FSB and MVD counterparts. The full acronym is GRU GSh (Russian: ГРУ ГШ) or Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye Upravleniye Generalnovo Shtaba (Russian: Главное Разведывательное Управление Генерального Штаба)

meaning Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff (of the Russian Federation). The acronym, however, is usually shortened to just GRU (Russian: ГРУ) which stands for Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye Upravleniye (Russian: Главное Разведывательное Управление) (English: Main Intelligence Directorate). The word "Spetsnaz" is often written in all capital letters ("SPETSNAZ").

In 2010, following Russian Military reforms, Spetsnaz GRU were disbanded and instead placed into different divisions of the Ground Forces of the Russian Military; in 2013, however, some units were re-assigned to GRU divisions and placed under GRU authority once more.[2]

The concept of using special forces tactics and strategies was originally proposed by the Russian military theorist Mikhail Svechnykov (executed during the Great Purge in 1938), who envisaged the development of unconventional warfare capabilities in order to overcome disadvantages that conventional forces may face in the field. Practical implementation was begun by the "grandfather of the spetsnaz" Ilya Starinov. During World War II,

reconnaissance and sabotage forces were formed under the supervision of the Second Department of the General Staff of the Soviet Armed Forces. These forces were subordinate to the commanders of Fronts.[3]

The situation was reviewed after the war ended, and between 1947 and 1950 the whole of GRU was reorganized.[4] The first 'independent reconnaissance companies of special purpose' were formed in 1949, to work for tank and combined-arms armies, which were tasked to eliminate amongst others enemy nuclear weapons systems such as the MGR-3 Little John and MGM-1 Matador.[4] In 1957, the first Spetsnaz battalions were formed, five to operate beyond the 150–200 km range of the reconnaissance companies. The first brigades were formed in 1962, reportedly to reach up to 750 kilometres in the rear to destroy U.S. weapons systems such as the MGM-52 Lance, MGM-29 Sergeant, and MGM-31 Pershing.[4] Two 'study regiments' were established in the 1960s to train specialists and NCOs, the first in 1968 at Pechora near Pskov, and the second in 1970 at Chirchik near Tashkent.[5] According to Vladimir Rezun, a GRU defector who used the pseudonym "Viktor Suvorov", there were 20 GRU Spetsnaz brigades plus 41 separate companies at the time of his defection in 1978.

Fountain of Youth Life Dreams - part 1

Fountain of Youth Life Dreams - part 1 - A fountain (from the Latin "fons" (genitive "fontis"), a source or spring) is a piece of architecture which pours water into a basin or jets it into the air to supply drinking water and/or for a decorative or dramatic effect.

Fountains were originally purely functional, connected to springs or aqueducts and used to provide drinking water and water for bathing and washing to the residents of cities, towns and villages. Until the late 19th century most fountains operated by gravity, and needed a source of water higher than the fountain, such as a reservoir or aqueduct, to make the water flow or jet into the air.

In addition to providing drinking water, fountains were used for decoration and to celebrate their builders. Roman fountains were decorated with bronze or stone masks of animals or heroes. In the Middle Ages, Moorish and Muslim garden designers used fountains to create miniature versions of the gardens of paradise. King Louis XIV of France used fountains in the Gardens of Versailles to illustrate his power over nature. The baroque decorative fountains of Rome in the 17th and 18th centuries marked the arrival point of restored Roman aqueducts and glorified the Popes who built them.[1]

By the end of the 19th century, as indoor plumbing became the main source of drinking water, urban fountains became purely decorative. Mechanical pumps replaced gravity and allowed fountains to recycle water and to force it high into the air. The Jet d'Eau in Lake Geneva, built in 1951, shoots water 140 metres (460 ft) in the air. The highest such fountain in the world is King Fahd's Fountain in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which spouts water 260 metres (850 ft) above the Red Sea.[2]

Fountains are used today to decorate city parks and squares; to honor individuals or events; for recreation and for entertainment. A Splash pad or spray pool allows city residents to enter, get wet and cool off in summer. The musical fountain combines moving jets of water, colored lights and recorded music, controlled by a computer, for dramatic effects. Drinking fountains provide clean drinking water in public buildings, parks and public spaces.

Russian Special Police SOBR vs Armored Casino - Tactical Action

Russian Special Police vs Armored Casino  - The Special Rapid Response Unit or SOBR (Russian – специальные отряды быстрого реагирования = Spetsial'nye Otryady Bystrogo Reagirovaniya), is a spetsnaz unit of the Russian Interior Ministry (MVD). SOBR also continues to exist in Belarus, where as of 2006 was headed by Dmitri Pavlichenko.

Russian SOBR units are composed of senior-ranking police officers, better trained than the members of OMON (which is a cross between riot police and paramilitary police), and tasked with SWAT type special operations under the jurisdiction of MVD, including apprehension of dangerous criminals, high-profile raids, etc. They also fought during the wars in Chechnya. In 2007, in Russia there were 87 units OMSN, counting over 5,000 officers stationed in major Russian cities, such as OMSN "Rys" (English OMSN "Lynx", Russian ОМСН "Рысь").

Russia's SOBR were formed on February 10, 1992, and were subordinated to the Directorate for Combating the Organized Crime under the MVD. On September 16, 2002, the SOBR was in the process of being dissolved and the SOBR units have been reclassified as OMSN and subordinated to the regional criminal police offices. Due to the popularity of the name, as well as the similarities between SOBR and OMSN, the OMSN was usually referred to as SOBR by both its officers and civilians alike. Since the 2011's establishment of the SKR, Investigative Committee, the unit is cooperating with the Federal investigative authorities. The units got back their historic name SOBR as a part of the Ministry of Interior reform late 2011.
